What an amazing day here in Sorrento as we learned all about how our food gets to our plates. We started with a visit to a coffee factory with a family history of strong women building a niche business. This was followed by a trip to see honeybees and tastings of locally produced marmalade & honey. A trip to an organic farm with a range of produce from cured meats, olive oil, lemons, orange’s and a demonstration of how to make mozarella cheese before sampling it all. Our next stop was an olive oil factory to view the production process and tastings. We all enjoyed making gelato, especially when it came to sampling it! Finally, a visit to a local cookery school to learn how to make gnocchi. What a fabulous day! Buen apetito tutti!
