A wide range of Subjects

St Aloysius School offers a varied and wide range of subjects at Junior Certificate level.

The methodologies employed in offering these subjects is equally varied as teachers endeavour to make learning meaningful and enjoyable for the students they work with. Students are encouraged to take examinations at Higher Level where possible. Students are also encouraged to get involved in the wide range of extra-curricular activities that support the students interests in various subject areas.

  • Physical Education (Short course)

  • Civic, Social, Political Education (CSPE) (Short course)

  • Social, Physical and Health Education (SPHE) (Short course)

Choice Exam Subjects – One language and 3 others are chosen:

  • Modern Foreign Languages; French or German

  • Art

  • Business Studies

  • Home Economics

  • Music

  • Science

Additional Subjects taught:

  • Religious Education

  • Wellbeing including: IT
