Principal’s Welcome
Welcome to St. Al’s
Welcome to the St. Aloysius Secondary School’s Website. We hope that through this website you will have the opportunity to discover all that St. Al’s has to offer our young students.
St. Al’s is an all-girls Voluntary Catholic Secondary School in the heart of Cork City under the trusteeship of CEIST. St. Al’s is steeped in tradition with a history spanning 180 years that we are incredibly proud of. The ethos of our school is centred on a community spirit, grounded in respect and care for all of our students, staff and every member of our school community. We aim to nurture the holistic development of our students by promoting health, wellbeing and encouraging them to reach their academic potential.
Our students have a vast array of interests and abilities which are supported by our broad curriculum with excellent teaching that we offer and also by the quality of extra-curricular activities that the school is immersed in every single day. We encourage our students to explore and discover new interests that will enhance their life journey. We believe that every student can achieve and reach their full potential with the right supports in place.
We encourage you to browse through this website to get a flavour of what life in St. Al’s is like. Please feel free to contact us by email, phone or in person – we would be delighted to answer any questions you may have. Whether you are a current or past-pupil, parent or a student looking for a school to attend we are sure that you will find plenty to interest you here in St. Al’s.
