As part of Transition year, students at St Aloysius spend time studying Biology, Physics and Chemistry. As part of their study of Physics, the girls were challenged to design and build an electromagnetic wind turbine that would generate electricity.

The turbines were so impressive that two of the groups won 2nd and 3rd place trophies at UCC in December, as part of an inter-school competition organised by ‘Engineers without Borders’. Congratulations girls and keep up the hard work!
